SHADED RED INVOLVED IN CAR ACCIDENT DUE TO WEATHER CONDITIONS
Cadence Communications Group, Inc. artists Shaded Red were involved in a tragic automobile accident early Saturday morning, January 17th. The driver of the vehicle experienced icy road conditions outside of St. Louis, MO that led to the van over-turning several times. Shaded Red was returning home to Nashville, TN after a concert near Kansas City, MO.
During the accident, three of the four passengers were ejected from the vehicle. Jamie Roberts (vocalist/guitarist) was not injured, Jonathan Roberts (vocalist/guitarist) was admitted to the intensive care unit, Steve Spittle (bassist) was treated and released and Chris Yoeman (drummer) lost his life during the accident.
Shaded Red shall resume their extensive touring schedule as soon as possible. Cadence Communications requests that Shaded Red fans pray for the band and keep the Chris Yoeman family in prayer during their time of loss.
Shaded Red has remained on the Top 50 SoundScan CCM Rock/Alternative chart for seventeen weeks. Their self-titled debut was released on September 9, 1997. Warner/Elektra/Atlantic has announced a mainstream street date with Cadence Communications for Shaded Red of March 10, 1998. Their new single "Found Someone" is currently receiving extensive rotation on national Christian radio.
